Charles W. Stevens was born about 1846 in Austinburg, Ashtabula County, Ohio. He was the son of John M. and Elizabeth (Burdett) Stevens, natives of England, who were married in Ashtabula County, Ohio. [1]
In 1850, his family was farming in Austinburg, Ashtabula, Ohio, where he was raised. [2] [3] [4]
No records were found to indicate Charles served during the Civil War.
On September 20, 1876, he married Flora M. Olmstead in Eagleville, Ohio. [5]
