Elizabeth Stevens was born in Surrey, England.

We don't have much information about the real name of Elizabeth. She must have been born around 1800. She is mentioned in the records of all her children. She lived on Butcher row near the London docklands.

Notes

Based on the information supplied to the Lambeth Court to explain why her son Stephen Stevens was really called John Stevens, it is very likely that her family name was Wiggins. See hereafter extract from her declaration:

And I make this solemn declaration... [etc] [Signed] Elizabeth Wiggins Declared before me at the Lambeth Police Court this 31st day of March 1868, .....
