This profile is a mess. It was autogenerated by a GED import and, on top of that, was two different profiles that were merged, but some of the references are for a completely different person. Seems like it is just a mess of every reference to a person by this name in the approximate time frame. So it goes. Sorry I took this one on.
This Thomas Stevens did not marry Mary Tryon and did not die 22 Jan 1820. That is a different Thomas Stevens and I'm removing those connections.

Here is a confusing element; another Thomas Stevens born in Connecticut to Abigail and Thomas Stevens....did the first Thomas die and this is a second Thomas born to the same couple or is this a different Thomas and Abigail Stevens who just happen to live in Connecticut. I will leave this for someone else to ponder.

DNA Connections
It may be possible to confirm family relationships with Thomas by comparing test results with other carriers of his Y-chromosome or his mother's mitochondrial DNA.
However, there are no known yDNA test-takers in his direct paternal line.
Mitochondrial DNA test-takers in the direct maternal line:
Stevens-2933 and Stevens-7033 appear to represent the same person because: Clearly the same person, not twin brothers with the same name. There are lots of mistakes in the 7033 profile, most notably the birth place where all links go to records that say Middletown, not Durham. Also many of the links are to a different Thomas Stevens who was born about 14 years later.
Thomas was born in 1725 to Thomas and Abigail, but in Middletown, not Durham. Barber Collection, Middletown, page 228
And he did not marry Mary Tryon in Glastonbury: that was Thomas son of Joseph. Barber collection Glastonbury p. 340
Thomas Stephens and his wife Mary _____ did come to Durham, likley in the spring of 1773. Mary and their children Elnathan, Diana, Hulda, Daniel, Abigail, and Phebe were all baptized on 16 May 1773 by the Rev. Elizur Goodrich.<ref>Fowler, Williiam Chauncey, History of Durham, Connecticut: From the First Grant of Land in 1662 to 1866, (Durham, 1866, Wiley Waterman & Eaton), p. 323.</ref> All born before then, likely in a different town.
