Biography

Caleb Stephenson (alternatively spelled Stevenson), born 25 Aug 1789 at Springfield, Massachusetts, was a son of Olive (Lombard) Stevenson (1753-) and Abiathar Stephenson (1754-1829).

Caleb married Olive R (Avery; 1796-1882), probably 24 December 1812 in Wayne County, New York. ^{[citation needed]}.

There were many children of this family, these of whom are documented:

1. Harriet (Stephenson; 1821-1906); married Matthew P. Harris
2. Charles W. Stephenson (1825 - 1888)
3. Daniel Stephenson (1829-1914)
4. Nancy Stephenson (9 July 1832 – 1902)
5. Adaline Stephenson (1833 – about 1904)
6. Louisa Stephenson (3 March 1837 – 18 March 1916); married S. Dyer
7. Leander Stephenson (1839 – 5 February 1892)

Caleb Stephenson died 6 Jan 1869 in Steuben County, New York. His grave is in Clearview Cemetery, North Cohocton, Steuben County, New York, USA ^[5].
