Coke Robert Stevenson was born on 20 March 1888[1] at Fredonia, Mason, Texas.[2] He was the son of Robert Milton Stevenson and Sophie Virginia Olin Hurley.[3]

When he registered for the World War 1 Draft on 5 June 1917 in Kimble County, Texas, Coke said he was 29 years old. He lived in Johnston, and worked as a county attorney for Johnston County, in Junction, Texas. His wife, child, father and mother were dependent upon him for support.[2]

Stevenson married Marguerite Nell "Teeny" Heap King on 16 Jan 1954. (Marguerite died March 24, 2010 in Ozona, Texas.) They had a daughter.

Coke died on 28 Jun 1975[5][3] at San Angelo, Tom Green, Texas,[3][1] and is buried at the Stevenson Family Ranch Cemetery, Telegraph, Kimble, Texas.[6]
