Biography

Loudell S. (Stewart) Holcombe was born 11 Feb 1901 in Pontotoc Co., Mississippi. She is the daughter of James Stewart and Nancy Elizabeth Parker. She married Hubert Cary Holcombe bef 1924. They had three children: Elizabeth Pauline "Liz" (Holcombe) Filler, Charlotte Louise Holcombe, and Marguarite Lucille (Holcombe) Edlin. (Charlotte had 3 husbands, but I don't know which was when. I do know that she was married to Lowell Wesley Jones in 1999). Loudell died 12 May 1975 in Abbeville, Lafayette Co., Mississippi,. There is some controversy over where she and Hubert, are buried. They are buried in either the Cambridge Cemetery Abbeville, Lafayette County, Mississippi, or the North Oxford Cemetery, Oxford, Lafayette Co., Mississippi.
