↑ Source: #S202 Page: Ainsworth Genealogy Data: Text: Samuel Ainsworth settled about 1736 in Hanover Township of Lancaster County, afterwards Dauphin County and now Lebanon County, Pennsylvania. His name appears in 1751 upon the first assessment list of that Township. In the assessment list for 1756 it is noted that his son was taken captive by the Indians, and that he had fled from his farm. Little is known of him save that his wife was Margaret Young, daughter of John Young and Margery Stewart of Hanover. Only two of his children are known.1. John Ainsworth, b. 1740.
