Alexander (Stewart) Stewart Fourth Lord Blantyre is a member of Clan Stewart.

Alexander Stewart (4th Lord Blantyre) was born after 1631. He was the son of William Stewart (2nd Lord Blantyre) and his wife Helen Scott.[1]

He succeeded to the title of 4th Lord Blantyre in October 1641.[2]

In 1647 he was one of the "Engagers" for King Charles I, but he escaped punishment due to his youth.[2]

He married Margaret Shaw, daughter of John Shaw and Helen Houston about September 1649.[2] They had issue:

  1. Alexander, 5th Lord Blantyre. d. 20 Jun 1704.

He had another child by an unknown woman (spouse?);

  1. Hon. Frances Stuart.

He died circa May 1676 in Bute, Scotland, probably from smallpox.
