Grandchildren of Robert Stewart tell the story of old Grandpap Stewart coming Home from Civil War with big money and lots of it. It was no good, Confederate money.
They also told story of Robert Stewart being hung by the Union soldiers. The `Rebels` came along and cut him down before he died. I have never found anything on Robert Stewart being in Civil War.
Someone in family remembers Robert Stewart getting mail from Liverpool,England. Was told by Willard Stewart of Muncie, IN. in June of 1996 that Robert Stewart fought for the South. Willard Stewart said he seen the confederate money.
