Leota Pearl LeBleu

LeBLEU, Leota Pearl – Age 85 of Roseburg passed away Saturday, September 27, 1997 at her home. She was born November 30, 1911 in Mitchell, Nebraska to Allison and Pearl (Bates) Stewart. The Stewart family moved from Nebraska to Wyoming and then to Walla Walla, Washington and then to the Bend, Oregon area. On August 7, 1929 in Bend, Oregon she married Robert LeBleu. The LeBleu family moved from Bent to Junction City, Oregon and then Roseburg on July 4, 1936. Robert and Leota owned and operated LeBleu Motors for many years. She enjoyed silversmithing, pottery making, leather working, gardening, sewing, rockhounding, genealogy, porcelain doll making, story telling, fishing and hunting. Mrs. LeBleu was a member of the WBA and the Roseburg Rod and Gun Club where she enjoyed competition shooting. She loved little children, especially her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Survivors include her husband, Robert LeBleu of Roseburg; daughters Thelma L. Hatcher and Marjorie A. LeBleu of Roseburg; sons LeRoy David LeBleu and his wife Shawnie of Roseburg and Delmar F. LeBleu of Boise, Idaho; daughter-in-law, Betty LeBleu; sister, Almetta Pruitt of Vancouver, Washington; 20 grandchildren, 24 great-grandchildren 16 great-great-grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews. Mrs. LeBleu was preceded in death by a son Robert D. LeBleu on August 12, 1988, sister Frances DuQuett, brother Ray Steward and a grandson. Graveside services will be held Wednesday, October 1, 1997 at 2 p.m. within the grounds of Roseburg Memorial Gardens. Pastor Richard Burson will officiate. LONG AND SHUKLE MEMORIAL CHAPEL is in charge of arrangements.
