Elizabeth (Stewart) Hall was born in Monongalia County, Virginia.

Elizabeth was born about 1783. She was the daughter of John Stewart and Mary Robe. She passed away in 1848.

Biography

The marriage appears to have taken place in 1813, not 1830. Thomas Hall's first wife Jane Bennett died 22 Jun 1812. His first child by Elizabeth Stewart was born 25 Nov 1813. This is consistent with the date of 11 Feb 1813 in Monongalia County, VA Marriage Bonds (Salt Lake film #464,494 vol. 4).

Also, I have not found a record where Thomas Hall has a middle name. I wonder if Thomas Barnes Hall is another person who WAS married in 1830.

Although the merge appears correct, she did not marry until 1830 and she would have been only 12 years old when her first child was born., so they have to be the children of Jane Bennett, her husband's first wife, whom he married in 1799.

Stewart-26244 and Stewart-2127 appear to represent the same person because: Elizabeth was born earlier than 1800 as is evident from the marriage information; Salt Lake Film 464,494 (Marriage Bonds filed in Monongalia, Virginia [now West Virginia] 1796-1850, Vol. IV) has marriage as 11 Feb 1813, and John Stewart as surety.

Susan Glasscock Arnold has marriage date 11 Feb 1804 (from a Stewart family history at the Morgantown Public Library). Gordon C. Baker has same date, "The Stewart Family of Monongalia County," p. 8. Marriage to Thomas Hall: Stewart Clan Magazine, Sept. 1949, p. 62.

Death date is the same.

Elizabeth (Stewart) Hall has an 1830 marriage date to Thomas Hall according to this page, and yet their eldest child James S. Hall was born in 1813. The Hall Papers has their marriage date as 7 Feb 1813.
