It showed her name as NOELL on marriage certificate but NOEL was spelling on censuses in TX.
Jennie was not found in Grayson County, TX on any census but some of the NOEL families and ARMSTRONG families (several of both) lived next door or just down the road from each other. In fact, three years before Robert and Jennie married, Robert was enumerated with the Dr. Wm. N. Noel family, working as a farm laborer after he left home. He was 21 but Virginia was not found in any Grayson County NOEL household in 1860.
She may have been in a finishing school for young ladies or living with another family whose surname we don`t know of.
