Notes
Estate Settlement of Andrew Jackson Stewart, 1863[1]
Administration of his estate was given to H. J. Washam (Henry Jackson Washam, son of Branch Washam and Frances Sloan). Much of the estate records deal with guardianship of Elmer Andrew and S. W. Stewart, minor orphans, by John F. Sloan (son of John Edward Sloan and Sarah W. Sloan), which was granted to him when the children were 14 (about 1875), indicating that Andrew Stewart's widow, Mary (Sloan) Stewart, had died by then.
