Biography

Raymond Roy Stewart was born in Omaha, Nebraska^[1] on 7 Jul 1911,^[2] the son of Roy Richard Stewart and Claire Pentony.^[3]

Raymond attended Independence Christian High School in Independence, Iowa, graduating in the Class of 1929.^[4]

Ray married Hilda Crawford (1910-1990) on 22 Aug 1936 in Quasqueton, Iowa.^[5] They had one daughter, Shirley Rae Stewart, who died in infancy on 4 Aug 1938 in Shenandoah, Iowa^[1] and one son, Larry L. Stewart.
