GEORGE STEWART, YOUNGER OF ARTNULLY, m. Katherine, daughter and coheiress of David Liddell of Panlathy, (c/m 12 March 1526. He was father of, 1. John Stewart, 4th of Arntully, (see below). 2. Walter Stewart, appointed Vicar of Dowallie, who was father of Thomas Stewart, 1st of Dowallie, JOHN STEWART, 4TH OF ARNTULLY, had a charter from George, Bishop of Dunkeld, for the lands of Easter Cardney as heir of the late John Stewart of Arntully, his grandfather, on 7 June 1542. He m. around 1550, Margaret Ross, of the family of Craigie, and d. by 16 July 1566. His children were: George Stewart, 5th of Arntully and Cardney Isabel Stewart, (m. Patrick Fowlis, son and heir of Thomas Fowlis, flesher) Elizabeth Stewart, (m. George Leslie of Urquhill,) George Stewart 5th of Arntully and Cardney married firstly, Margaret, daughter of William Stewart, 8th of Grandtully, (c/m 29 April 1566), and secondly, by 20 May 1588, to Janet, daughter of Alexander Robertson, His children were : 1. John Stewart, 6th of Arntully and Cardney 2. Duncan Stewart 3. James Stewart 4. Thomas Stewart 5. Margaret Stewart 6. Grizel Stewart 7. Mary Stewart 8. Elspeth Stewart.
