Christina was born on 20 Feb 1821 in Kilbride, Bute, Scotland, the daughter of Alexander Stewart, a fisherman and Margaret his wife. It is not clear where she was living in 1841, but on 16 Dec 1849 she married John Crawford in Maypole, Ayrishire. She was living in Symington, Ayrishire at the time. She and John had seven children together and lived in various parts of Scotland. She died on 17 Jun 1877 of Gastritis after an illness of five days.
