Oliver Stewart is a member of Clan Stewart.
Oliver Stewart was born in 1761 Colrain, Franklin County, Massachusetts, British Colonial America. He was the son of Samuel Stewart and his wife Rebecca Henry.
Settled in 1791 in Augusta (now Stockbridge). . He passed away in 1858 (aged 96–97) and was buried in the Strip Road Cemetery, Stockbridge, Madison County, New York, United States

He was then married to his 2nd wife Margaret Spoor in 1844
Settled in 1791 in Augusta (now Stockbridge) husband of Cynthia Jakways (1765-1835) whom he married in 1784 at Hartford, Washington Co., NY. Father of 9 children. Married 2d in 1844 to Margaret Spoor. Last name is given as Stuart, not Stewart, on this marker.[1]
