DNA Connections
It may be possible to confirm family relationships with JD by comparing test results with other carriers of his ancestors' Y-chromosome or mitochondrial DNA. However, there are no known yDNA or mtDNA test-takers in his direct paternal or maternal line. It is likely that these autosomal DNA test-takers will share some percentage of DNA with JD:

Hi JD

How is it going so far, were the Member How-Tos pages helpful or did they leave you with questions?

Clicking your green tags shows members who follow that tag. Add tags other family surnames, for locations. The tags link you to the community sourcing & research options Information on tags is on page one of the How To pages.

We want to help you learn about the site and the community, hopefully you found the pages and links useful.

It is my pleasure to confirm you as a full member of WikiTree.

I am a volunteer greeter here to answer your questions.

Our New Member How-To pages can help you get started adding profiles or just learning your way around. These help pages will save you time and perhaps frustration in your new journey through WikiTree.

P.S. Sometimes links don't work in emails. If that's happened to you, check the public comments on your profile as the links will work from there.

So glad to meet you, cousin!! I have very little information on Verbie. Hopefully you can fill in some information. I have added you to the Trusted List for her and all the ancestors and descendants.

I was adopted by my maternal grandparents. If I want to search both sides, should I enter myself under my birth name? I can't find any way to list multiple fathers and mothers.

There is a way to track both adoptive and biological parents but I'm not familiar with how it's done. You should go to the Adoption Angels Project. They have worked out all the best ways to do this and will be happy to help you.

Hi, Stan. Glad to see you joined. You can use your birth name and add your biological parents to your profile. There is a button to select them as biological. I would then add profiles for your grandparents, then in the bio (theirs and yours) state the adoptive relationship and make sure when you use their names that you link them to your profile and vice versa.
Me again. Actually JD has already listed grandparents for both your parents, so you will just need to attach to those profiles. You will need to ask JD to put you on the Trusted List for each of your parents. Let me know if you need any help. Wikitree can be overwhelming at first.
