Comment on Ancestry Family Tree: "RoyHankey80: John Stewart 25 Nov 1834 to 12 Dec 1862: John Stewart was the 8th child of Evan A. Stewart and Nancy Belle Jenkins. John was NOT the only child. The question is, where is John Stewart buried? John and Amanda had 2 children before his enlistment in the Civil War, they were William Columbus (Lum) Stewart 28 Mar 1857 and died 10 June 1946 and Laura Isabella Stewart 5 Feb 1861 to 25 July 1941. After John's death his wife Amanda M. Wainscott Stewart remarried to a Christopher C. Martin in Bates County, Missouri and they had 4 children. For further information on the Stewarts and Wainscotts see the books by R.W.
