Gertrude (Stewart) Gortman is a part of US Black heritage.

Gertrude was born in 1913. She was the daughter of Collis Stewart and Annie Rawl. In the 1920 census Gertrude (age 6) was the single daughter of Connelly Stewart in Hollow Creek, Lexington, South Carolina.^[1] In the 1930 census Gertrude (age 15) was the single daughter of Collis Stewart in Gilbert Hollow, Lexington, South Carolina, United States.^[2]

Gertrude married Curtis Gortman. Gertrude was in a directory in 1950 in Columbia, South Carolina, United States.^[3] Gertrude was in a directory in 1956 in Columbia, South Carolina, United States.^[4]

Gertrude died on Friday 1 April 1983 at Richland Memorial Hospital in Columbia, South Carolina, United States.^[5][6]
