Biography

David Stickley was born Stickley farm, Cedar Creek, Shenandoah County, Virginia in 1780, son of Benjamin and Ann (Stover). [citation needed]

He lived on a portion of the Stickley farm on Cedar Creek, north of Strasburg. He married Mary Harmon in 1802. [1]

He made extensive purchases of land throughout his life and was able to leave land to all of his children.

He was living with his widowed son, Daniel, and single daughter, Ann, in 1850.[2]

David wrote his will September 5, 1853 and it was probated October 15, 1856.[3].

He passed away in Stickley farm, Cedar Creek, Shenandoah County, Virginia. He passed in 1856. Parents listed as Benjamin and Anna Steikley. [4]

David was buried in Stickley Cemetery, Strasburg, Shenandoah County, Virginia. [5] His tombstone gives his age as 76.[6]
