Please contact me within the next week to let me know if you would like to remain an active member of the project. If I don’t hear back from you I will assume you no longer want to be a part of the Categorization Project.
Hi Michael. Thank You for your response. I noticed you have Civil War and the War of 1812 on part of your pages. When you have time you may want to look into your Couch Connection a bit more deeply. Several of Our Couch Family Ancestors served in them. I Know Ebenezer Couch, my 4th or 5th Great-Grandfather is mentioned in the book " 1812 ." Many also served in thr Revolutionary War. My Distant Cousin, Darius Nash Couch was a Major General in the Civil War and there is some Fascinating information about him available on line. I sent a couple of messages to Rick Pierpoint a while back and never got a response so I have considered him as a dead end for my research. I Know he has done a lot on the Couch line and I'm sure he is quite a good Genealogist. Not hearing from him doesn't help me.
I had recently been contacted by a Baltzer Kolb descendant on Ancestry, but I notice that Culp-1025, who is apparently a descendant of Baltzer, has a very different haplogroup (I-P37) than the R-M405 that characterizes Dielman descendants.
HI: Regarding Margaret Odding profile..you caught me I did remove myself from the profile when I got your email. Forgive me
as I didn't want to get involved with that profile at all with all those profile mangers.
Until later...M PS her husband is in my linage
mostly Porter, Poole, Penny, Killam , and the list goes on and on.
Hi Michael: Thanks for getting in touch regarding Margaret Odding. I am no longer a profile manager of that profile. To many profile managers. Please contact another manager as they are more experienced in sourcing etc . :) M.
re Wilmot-692 - no, I have only the ancestry.com info I started with long ago and only realized slowly how unreliable some of it is. There is also https://www.findagrave.com/memorial/173835130/Nicholas-Wilmot. In the process of looking at your question I realized that somehow the gedcompare missed 2 nicholas wilmots that already exist (also siting Benjamin Wilmot as father btw). I will set mine up to merge with Wilmot-150 but another merge with Wilmot-214 is still pending apparently
