In 1850, Nicholas (age 72) and his wife Elizabeth (age 70) are living in Plainfield, Windham, Connecticut, with their daughter Eliza (age 47), their daughter Sylvia Lowell (age 36) and her two children Mary (age 8) and Francis (age 6). [2]
He passed away 15 August 1863. [3]. He is buried in the Evergreen Cemetery, in Moosup, Windham, Connecticut. [4]
