Oran Monroe Stilwell was born on March 31, 1904[1] in Coal County, Oklahoma. He was the son of Solomon Stilwell and Minnie M (Starkes) Stilwell. At Age 15, he was in his parent's home in Murray, Oklahoma, along with his 6 siblings.[2]
The family moved to Porter, Quay County, New Mexico by 1930, where he worked as a farm laborer. His siblings, Walter-28, Tommie-22, Woodrow-16, and Fay-12 were still in the home.[3]
He lived on his brother Tom's farm in 1940, along with his mother and 2 other brothers. He worked as a laborer on odd jobs.[4]
He died on November 13, 1965, at the age of 61, in Colorado, and was buried in the mIperial Memorial Gardens Cemetey in Pueblo, Pueblo County, Colorado.[1] He never married.
