Biography

Georgina Janet Stirling was born in 1845. She was the daughter of Admiral Sir James Stirling and Ellen Mangles.
She married, firstly, Maj.-Gen. Sir Henry Tombs, V.C., son of John Tombs, on 24 June 1869.
She married, secondly, Maj.-Gen. Sir Herbert Stewart, son of Reverend Edward Stewart and Louisa Anne Herbert, on 19 December 1877.
She died on 4 April 1910.
