Robert Stoba served in the British Army in World War I

Robert was born about 1894 at Caerlaverock, Dumfries-shire. He was the son of Jacob Stoba and Lillian Henderson.

In 1901 Robert was living at Lanarkland farm. He lived there with his parents and siblings. He was a scholar.[1]

Robert Stoba was a private in the Cameronians (Scottish Rifles). His battalion was the 9th and his service number was 40958. He died on 12 April 1917 and is commemorated at Arras, in Northern France.[2][3][4][5][6]
