Biography
When Ann Stockley was born about 1779, in Wareham, Dorset, her father, John, was 19 and her mother, Sarah, was 19. Ann was christened on May 30, 1779 at Corfe Castle, Wareham, Dorset. She married Thomas Samways on January 17, 1798, in Corfe Castle, Dorset. They had 10 children in 26 years. She died in October 1865 in Toller Porcorum, Dorset, having lived a long life of 86 years, and was buried in Wraxall, Dorset.
