Funeral services for Milton Howard Stockwell, 71, well known in education... Iowa, Nebraska and South Dakota, were to be held at 4 o'clock this afternoon at Anderson's funeral home. Rev. A.M. Albert of the Assembly of God church was to officiate with burial in Floyd cemetery. The pallbearers were to be Rev. G. ..k, Rev. Ferner Renner, Harry Krone, Loring Hardy, Charles Engstrom and G. Sharpe.
Mr. Stockwell, born February 4, 1874 at Goodell, Ia., died in Herlick, S.D. He spent his boyhood on a farm with his parents and began teaching at the age of 18 in the Goodell area. He taught in both city and rural schools in Iowa, Nebraska and South Dakota, and was a superintendent of schools for Boyd county, Neb. for 12 years.
He married Miss Blanche Zike September 1, 1900, at Fairfax, S.D. and they had seven children. Surviving are the widow, Mrs. Blanche Stockwell; two daughters, Mrs. Vida Olsen of Sioux City, and Mrs. Clythe Linder of San Francisco; one son, William Stockwell of San Francisco; 25 grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; two sisters, Mrs. Lena Leslie of Herrick and Mrs. Mayme Anderson of Anaka, Neb, and two brothers Roy of Anaka and Clarence of Missouri.

Milton is the son of William Lewis Stockwell & Mary Helen Lasher.
