In Patterson's book it says Aaron Stoddard had 2 wives..only the Christian name of the second is know Philena..she got custody of all the children...mmmm....Eunice is the wife of John....can't trust just Patterson..will investigate.

I was rereading my reprint of Patterson's John Stoddard of wethersfield, and realized I had missed part of page 39. My original thought that Aaron Stoddard Stoddard-427 was the father of my Sarah Stoddard-1762 was correct. Sarah's dad was not John Stoddard Stoddard 426, but she was listed in the book, under Children of Aaron and ------ Stoddard. I had missed that line in the book! Silly of me...I actually ordered a copy of the reprint because I had such trouble following the print on the computer...and then I miss it in the book! Sarah is listed as number 127 II Sarah, "second daughter" who had a part of her father's estate, June 21, 1793. she m. Ephraim Spencer. I had gone up to the top of the page where Children of John and Eunice (Kilbourn) Stoddard are listed. Can this be fixed easily? don't know if I can do it...maybe you know how to do it better than since I am new? I can investigate changing Sarah Stoddard-1762 's dad to Aaron Stoddard 427 instead of John Stoddard 426. I'm so sorry. Every time I use Wikitree, it's a learning experience. I was so fascinated with Aaron..I'm pleased to have him as a grandad.

I'm playing with brackets. Just learned how to use them. I also found Sarah's dad and mom in a genealogy. Patterson's John Stoddard of Wethersfield. Ordered a reprint because I can't figure out books on the web...need them in my lap!

Hi. I'm working on this a bit, if you don't mind. Sarah is a grandmother of mine. There seem to be 2 Sarahs in Litchfield around this time so I need to compare sources..one was born 1763, the other 1745....need to look at BArbour and other records. Found her sources. I was confusing her with a Sarah 1745, in the same Barbour Collection but now I'm straight on it....will investigate her line back...
