Biography

Margaret's birth was registered in the Apr-May-Jun quarter of 1865 in the Tynemouth district.^[1] She was the daughter of William Stoker and Elizabeth Laverick.

In the 1871 census Margaret (age 6) was the daughter of William Stokes in Seghill, Northumberland, England.^[2] In the 1881 census Margaret (age 16) was the unmarried daughter of William Stoker in Double Row, Seaton-Delaval, Northumberland, England.^[3] In the 1891 census Margaret (age 26) was the single daughter of William Stoker in Seaton Delaval, Northumberland, England.^[4]

In the 1901 census Margaret (age 35) was the single daughter of William Stoker in Seaton Delaval, Northumberland, England.^[5]

In the 1911 census Margaret (age 45) was the single sister of John Wesley Stoker in Seaton Delaval, Northumberland, England.^[6]

Research Notes

In 1901 a grandson Norman was living with the family, and in 1911 he was living with Margaret at her brother John's house. No Mother's LNAB was recorded in Norman's birth registration. It is likely that Norman is Margaret's son - or possibly the son of her younger sister Lizzie. I have attached him to Margaret's profile as her son. Humphrey-6461 20:33, 25 July 2022 (UTC)
