William was born in 1894. He was the son of John Stokes and Rosa Conner. He passed away in 1974.
William married by about 1924/25 to Kate ____, widow of John H. Daughty, and they had one known surviving child: [1][2]
Rufus, b. abt. 1926
Kate had four children from a previous marriage -- Josh, John, Earnest, and Emily. Kate died in 1938, and John, Emily, and Rufus resided with William in 1940.
