On 07 Aug 1943, Hall's grand-daughter, Donna Jean Stoll married Woodford Grady Sink.

On 20 Oct 1944, Hall Stoll died in Springfield, Clark, Ohio, at the age of 84. He was buried at the Ferncliff Cemetery, Springfield, OH. Hall lived through the Civil war, Spanish-American War, WWI and died during WWII. 16 Different Presidents held office in his lifetime.

At the time of Hall's death, Franklin D. Roosevelt was the President of the 48 United States. There is unproven but interesting research that shows FDR's wife, Eleanor, to be Hall's 10th cousin, once removed. Hall's 9th great grandfather and Eleanor Roosevelt's 11th great grandfather may have been George Seton of Scotland 1508 - 1549.
