1766 - Marriage to Eva Barbara Kucher in records of Luthern Pastor.

1769 - First appears in Lebanon Tp Tax returns. Owns 180 acres only 30 cultivated. Occupation is given as hatter. Also a Jacob Stein and a John Stiner.

1771 Geo Stine appears in Lebanon Tp records until 1783 appears as estate.

According to Lebenon County Historical Society p 176 was captain in revolution serving with brothers-in-law ORTH.

1775 Will of Peter Kucher is probated Lancaster Co C-1-210. John Stone is to receive 500 acres but needs to make payments to the executors. House that Peter and Barbara Kucher live in (have picture of house)when widow dies to go to daughter Barbara. (I have not found any deeds of John Stone?).

1777 from Egle - p,32- John Stone took Oath of Allegiance 14 Oct 1777. Peter Stone, Geo Stone, John Adam Stone took oaths around the same time.

1779 Name is changing back and forth between Stine and Stone.

1781 Taking oath of allegiance.

1784 Lebanon Twp placed in new Dauphin Co - will need to pick up these records.

Searched Lancaster Co in 1790's for him there since daughter ends up there. One John is city wife is a Dinah and dies 1785 and has at least one son John. This John died in early 1800's.

Peter Kucher will of 1774 says two children Joseph and Susan.

1785 Tax rolls Dauphin Co, Lebanon Twp John Stone inmate 2 shilling tax. (If this is mine he has been debilitated in some way and has lost his land?).

1786 Tax rolls Dauphin Co, Leb Tp - no tax listed.

1787 ibid two shilling tax. listed as John Stein.

1789-04 Pension Index a John Stone in Lancaster - Invalid. (PA Archives card File).

1790 US Census PA, Dauphin Co, Lebanon Tp - 3 white males 16 and over. 1 male under 16. 5 females. No other freed persons or slaves. 1

Did John come out of Berks County? John Adam Stein son of John Adam Stein and his wife (Margaret).

bapt 4 Nov 1750 at Tulpehocken Reformed Church. sp John Stein. Other children baptized there Anna Margaret, John Peter, John Michael, John and Catherine.

At same church Anna Maria Stein(er) wd of John Stein (er) as sponsor on 9 Apr 1757 for John her lest.

1755-57 a John Stone (Stein) served in French and Indian War from Lancaster Co, Lebanon Tp. also an Adam Stone. under Conrad Weiser.A pvt John Stone inside palisades at Hebron with Capt Adam Heyden.

22 April 1776 a John Stone enlisted "from Egle's History of Dauphin and Lebanon Co" 1883.

in 1776 John Stone w Col Miler in Co of Peter Grubb in losing battle of LI. Part of great retreat thru NJ.

July 1777 1st Bat 3rd Company of Class under Weiser a 2nd Lt John Stone.

19 June 1780 commissioned Capt of 2nd B, 6th C. under Lt Col Thomas Edwards.

9 May 1780 is Capt of 2nd, 6th. (dates ?) from Copenhaven book.

1781 Sold grain to state of PA from HH Shenk unpublished.

25 Sept 1781 1st B, 6th C. at this time were guarding prisoners in Lancaster Co (Lebanon tp included.).

7 July 1782.

A John Stone served in the Lancaster Co Flying Camp dates not given. Was this my John?. 1

Searched Dauphin Cty Wills and Deeds for Stine or Stone references in Dauphin Co books. John Adam Stone keeps appearing. but no reference to wife or daughter Susan. John Stoner but wife Elizabeth. 1

Lancaster city Stones Frederick Stone grantor in Lanc City. Then there are a John Stone dying in late 1780's and another in early 1800's.

Frederick Stone served as a lieutenant in French and Indian War. cf Klien history of Lancaster Co.

1730 Melchoir Brenneman sold 15 acers to a John Stone. Conestoga Tp.

A John Stone served in the F&I War from Lancaster.

Need to Study Jacob Steiner arrived 1739 settled in Lebanon Twp. died 1756 m Barbara Baughman. 1

In marriage records of John Casper Stover found at Lancaster County Project. Two Stein's.

PA Land warrant Appl 1748 a John Stoneman owned land in Lebanon Twp neighboring the warrantee. 1
