They say that Ann or Anna Stone was born in India. In the Family Search. org there was an Anna Stone, christened 29 September 1764, in Fort St. George, Madras, Tamil Nadu, India. She was the daughter of John Maxwell and Mary Stone. In the 1700's the Stones were involved in the trade business with the East India Company.
