Biography

"Susannah Stone, daughter to Simon and Mary Ston Borne. the 4th of November"[1] 1675 at Watertown, Middlesex, Massachusetts.[2][3].

Susanna Stone married Edward Goddard in June 1697 probably in Watertown or Boston, Middlesex Co., Massachusetts.[2][4] They had the follwong children:[2]

Edward and Susannah Stone Goddard had children Edward, Susannah, Simon, Benjamin, and David born at Watertown and children William, Mary, Ebenezer, and Ebenezer 2d born at Boston,[5] also William b. 1720 and Hepzibah b. 1725.[2]

Susannah Goddard, wife of Edward Goddard, died on February 4, 1754, at Framingham, Middlesex, Massachusetts[2][6] five days before her husband died of the "epidemical fever" known as "the great sickness" which was plaguing the town of Framingham, Massachusetts.[5][7]

She is buried at the Church Hill Cemetery, Framingham, Middlesex, Massachusetts.[8] According to William Austin Goddard in his 1833 book, her gravestone reads:

"Here Lies Buried The Body of Madam Susana Goddard Consort of Ye Hon Edward Goddard Esqr Who Departed This Life Feb Ye 4 AD 1754 Aged 78 years & 2 Mo Ye Memory of Ye Just is Blest"[5] [although the "Just is Blest" according to the photograph on Find A Grave looks like it could be "Just & Blest"].

Stone-2749 and Stone-134 appear to represent the same person because: Same name, same parents, dates are close, same husband
