Elijah was born about 1740 in Fluvannah, Virginia. (One merged profile said he was born in 1753 in Henrico County). He was the son of William and Frances Taylor Stone. He was married to Mary (Molly) Seay. They lived in what is now Nelson County, VA. They had five daughters, two of whom married sons of Jesse Moore, who moved to Globe, Burke County, NC ( now Caldwell County). After his wife passed away in 1787, he and his two youngest daughters relocated to Burke County to be with the Moores. This has been recorded in several Moore family stories and genealogies. Elijah passed away in April, 1813 at his home on Mulberry Creek.

DNA Connections
It may be possible to confirm family relationships with Elijah by comparing test results with other carriers of his Y-chromosome or his mother's mitochondrial DNA.
Y-chromosome DNA test-takers in his direct paternal line on WikiTree:
The Elijah Stone that married Rebecca Roberts was from a different family (John Stone of Mecklenburg was either his father or grandfather). Elijah, son of William and Frances Taylor Stone of Fluvanna County, married Mary Seay.
This Elijah Stone who died in 1813 could not have been married to Priscilla Moore because her first husband, Elijah Stone, died by 1771 and she then married Carlton Nunn. Disconnecting.
