Mary “Polly” Stone was born 7 Aug 1783 in Virginia. Her parents were Richard Stone and “Jincey” Jane Wilkes. She married Richard Winn on 9 March 1804 in Lunenburg County, Virginia. His parents were Peter Winn and Letitia “Letty” Stone.

Polly and Richard had at least 1 son, Ransom Stone Winn.

From 1820-1838, Richard is listed in the Sumner County tax book. He is also listed in the 1830 federal census as living in Sumner County, TN
