The John Stone who d. 5 December 1730 would appear to be the son of John and Anne (Tilestone) Stone, b. 31 March 1709.

John, son of John and Anne (Rogers) Stone, b. abt. 1642, was non compos mentis but lived until after 1720.

'8 Apr. 1720, administration of the remainder [of John4 Stone's estate] was granted to his eldest son John5 Stone. The accounts mention as still living John3 Stone, son of John2 Stone and uncle of the deceased administrator John4 Stone, whom said John5 Stone bound himself to maintain for the rest of his life. (Middlesex County Probate Records, No. 21554.)' (Gregory Stone Genealogy)
