"The Southern Democrat" - October 26, 1911:

Country News - Sorry to report the death of J. Y.(sic) Stone, which occurred at his home near Summit September 22. He was laid to rest in Hopewell cemetery on the 25th; Rev. Andrew Oden conducted the funeral services. He had many friends in Blount who will regret to hear of his death, which was due to catarrh.
