John Stonehouse, yeoman, married Cicely Smith, spinster, on 26 January 1773 by publication of banns in Welbury, York, England. ^[3]

He married Jane in 1810 in Stranton.^[4]

He died aged 80 years in 'Foggy Furrows' and was buried on 20 December 1828.^[5][6]

Erected in memory of JOHN STONEHOUSE of Foggyfurrs who died the 17th day December 1828 aged 80 years. Also CICELY wife of the above died the 19th August 1805 aged 63 years. Also JANE second wife of the above died the 24th of December 1840 aged 89 years. ^[7]
