Biography

dna R. Horner, 91, formerly of Boalsburg, passed away peacefully in her sleep at Centre Crest Nursing Home on Nov. 29, 2005. Born May 8, 1914, in Potter Township, she was the daughter of the late William R. and Ida Confer Stoner. On June 23, 1937, she married LeRoy P. Horner, who preceded her in death on July 25, 1987. Edna was an avid homemaker who took great pride in her home, and enjoyed her vegetable and fruit garden. She always had a pantry and freezer full of her own canned and frozen goods. Surviving are a son, James L. Horner and his wife, Brenda, of State College; a daughter, Mary Jane Buchan and her husband, Thompson, of State College; a sister, Esther Rudy Taylor. of Centre Hall; and six grandchildren, Ryan P. Horner and his wife, Jessica, of Harrisburg, Carrie R. Porter and her husband, John, of Centre Hall, Bethany D. Horner, of State College, Kenneth J. Corl and his wife, Barbra, of Centre Hall, Ronald P. Corl and his wife, Wendy, of State College, and Andrea L. Buchan, of State College. Funeral Friday, Dec. 2, at Koch Funeral Home, State College, Rev. Gregory P. Harbaugh officiating. Entombment in Centre County Memorial Park Mausoleum. [Centre Daily Times]
