1671 - This Deed refers to the original land grant from King Charles II to John Shortt in 1677 of Gortagarry. It also mentions a land grant to James Stopford in 1671 and Richard Penn in 1677. It refers to a 9 June 1739 deed which was made in consideration of the marriage of John Short to Frances Shortt and John Shortt agreed with Charles Spunner to settle lands of Gortagarry for his life and his children or heirs.
