Elizabeth (Stopher) Voltz was born in Middlesex, England.

1844 Eliza Ann Stopher was born 06 July 1844 at Marylebone London Middlesex England. Her parents were William Stopher & Eliza Ann (Smith) Stopher. The family was living at 17 Richmond Street London. William Stopher’s occupation was Gardener. Eliza Ann Stopher’s birth was registered 22 September 1844 at Marylebone London England. ^[1]

1864 Eliza Ann Stopher emigrated from England to Australia in 1864. Elizabeth departed Liverpool England 31 July 1864 aboard the Ship Queen of the South and arrived at Moreton Bay Brisbane Queensland Australia 01 November 1864. She paid £4 for the cost of her voyage. ^[2]

1865 Elizabeth Ann Stopher married Friedrich Voltz on 30 November 1865 at the Lutheran Church South Brisbane. ^[3]

1865-1886 Friedrich & Elizabeth Voltz lived, worked and raised their family in the Logan area south of Brisbane.
Friedrich Voltz appears on electoral rolls as a farmer at Bethany, Logan River (aged 24) in 1865, as a fencer, Logan Reserve in 1868, as a squatter, Logan in 1874, and dairyman, Loganlea in 1890.

1886 Elizabeth Ann (Stopher) Voltz died 08 November1886 at Waterford Queensland Australia. The cause of death was Morbes Cordes, Pulmonary and Cerebral Conjection lasting 8 days. Friedrich Voltz records on her death certificate that she was born in London, Middlesex, England and she had lived in Queensland for about 22 years. Her age is recorded as 38 and that she was 18 when she married. ^[4]
Elizabeth was buried in the Logan Reserve Cemetery on 09 November 1886.
