Mr. Frederick Storey, a well-known resident of Benalla was found dead at the slaughter yards of Mr T. Tanner on Wednesday afternoon last. The rather painful discovery was made by Mr Jack Bridgfoot who is also employed by Mr Tanner, and who arrived to carry out his duties for the afternoon. It appears that deceased had a heart seizure, and that he colIapsed suddenly. No one was at the yards at the time. The local police were notified, and Dr. Davies was summoned. He pronounced life extinct, and later certified that death was due to natural causes. The late Mr Storey was of a quiet and unassuming nature, and made many friends. He was most upright and honorable in all his dealings. Much sympathy is extended to his widow and a family of three sons, William, George and Leonard, and four daughters, Mollie (Mrs Perryman), Catherine, Ellen, (Mrs J. Howell), and Celia. The remains were interred in the Benalla cemetery on Thursday afternoon. Rev. Canon G. Nelson read the service at the graveside, and Mr. E. A. Abbott had charge of the mortuary arrangements.
