Biography

Margaret was born in Kentucky. She was the daughter of George Story and Sidney Belle McClellan.

She was living with parents George and Sidney Story in Randolph's Grove, McLean county, Illinois in 1850.^[1]

In 1870 and 1880, she was living with brother William Story in De Witt county, Illinois.^[2][3]

Although listed with apparent surname Jordan on the 1880 census, she was also listed as single. Jordan was a family surname on her mother's side. Hence it is likely that she was Margaret Jordan Storey (or Story).

She is listed as the sister of William Storey on the 1880 Census and that her :married name was Jordan. Margaret was born in Kentucky while her younger :brother William was born in Illinois.

She is listed as a Storey (maiden name) in 1870 and a Jordan (married name in :1880).
