I was born and raised in Minnesota. I live Duluth, MN with my husband and our two cats. My two greatest joys are reading and coffee.
I have always loved history. One of reasons I enjoy genealogy so much is that it is living history. You create the story of a person of the past. It started when my mother-in-law mentioned an interest in the DAR (Daughters of the American Revolution), and has spiraled from there. Now I am asking friends and acquaintances if they know their family history, and if they don't would they be interested to find out. Each new tree has it new challenges and new things that I learn. I enjoy connecting people with their history.
I started the Stormo One Name Study because I had a lot of family members reach out to me. Hopefully this page will help future Stormo's connect to their family tree. If you are a Stormo and have questions feel free to contact me.
I love helping people, so if you come across and issue and think I might be able to help please feel free to reach out.

Yes, He was married to Rebecca Rich and had Mary Kay Wren as a mistress. He legitimized the Wren children in 1854 as he was already the father anyway.

I recently had a 2nd cousin, who has the same small percentage of Ashkenazi DNA as me, as does his brother. His paternal haplogroup, which is different from mine, is R-CTS6, the haplogroup from which the Levite Ashkenazi haplogroup, R1a-Y2619 originated. Though I do not have the R-CTS6 Y chromosome, my great grandfather, Oliver Augusta Lavey certainly did and would have had Jewish ancestors on both his Y and X chromosomes as well as his autosomal DNA. This Lavey branch may have, at one time, been Levy or Levi or some Jewish variation of the name. This branch is on my father's side. Thanks for asking Kaylinn.
