John Story, postoffice Castle Shannon, was born June 7, 1822, in Greenock, Renfrewshire, Scotland, the son of John and Margaret (Lindsey) Story;He married, in Glasgow, in 1846, Helen, daughter of Moses and Minnie (Brown) Mitchell, and they have had six children, three of whom survive, viz.: Mrs. Elizabeth Hurrell, Mrs. Margaret Miles and John W.
