Story, _________. Of Duchess County, New York. Fled to Queen's County . Owned and commanded an oyster vessel. Captured, and got a "ransom bill for twenty-five days," on payment of twenty half-Joes and nine guineas. Captured again, by the same person, and paid twenty-five dollars, and five gallons of rum, and was heartily cheered for is liberality. Captured yet again, by whale-boat, and ransomed for 63 pounds. Story was alive in 1846, aged eighty-seven. (Biographical Sketches of Loyalists of the American Revolution, Voll. II, p. 337)
