Stouffer-97 and Gesey-6 appear to represent the same person because: Daniel Stauffer Gesey is an error. There was no such son of Elias Geesey. See the 1830 census as indicated in messages on the profile page.

Elias Geesey did not have a son named Daniel Staufer Geesey. This is an error. The proposed merge are not brothers-in-law.

Gesey-6 and Stouffer-97 do not represent the same person because: They seem to be brothers-in-law. Gesey-6 is the brother of Stouffer-97's wife.
posted by David Hughey Ph.D.
Gesey-6 and Stouffer-97 appear to represent the same person because: I believe this man was the husband of Sarah Jane (Geesey) Stauffer and not her brother. Sarah's father, Elias, had only 1 son born before 1830, Theodore Geesey, as indicated in the 1830 census.
