Anastasia Stourton was daughter of John Stourton. She and her sister, Margaret, became nuns at Shaftesbury Abbey. [1]In 1423 Margaret was elected Abbess. [2]
Anastasia inherited a silver plate in 1438 by the will of her brother, John de Stourton. [3]Margaret died in 1441 but Anastasia was still at Shaftesbury during the time of Edith Bonham, living to see her death and the election of Margaret St John, half sister of Margaret Beaufort in 1460. [1]
• viii.— Anastatia Stourton, a Nun at Shaftesbury, who is mentioned in the will of her brother, John Stourton, of Preston and Brimpton. She was living as a Nun at Shaftesbury when Edith Bonham was elected Abbess thereof after the death of her sister, Margaret Stourton, and was living in 1460, when Margaret St. John was elected, as successor to Edith Bonham.
